The Sten is a British submachine gun.

The name "Sten" is an acronym consisting of Major Reginald V. Shepherd, Harold J. Turpin, and Enfield, which are the names of the designers and the location of the factory respectively. The submachine gun was an example of wartime weapon, with the use of stamped metal to reduce material and manpower costs. The Sten was continuously simplified over the period of the war, and was also produced in other countries for various resistance movements.
In Battlegroup42, the Sten is the primary weapon of the British and Canadian medic class.
