Messerschmitt Bf 109 is a German fighter aircraft.

DescriptionEdit

The Bf 109 was the most produced fighter aircraft in history, and it formed the backbone of Luftwaffe's fighter force (Jagdwaffe). Although it was later supplemented by the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, the Bf 109 nevertheless served from the beginning to the very end of the war in multiple roles and variants.

In Battlegroup42 there are five versions of the aircraft. The early E-3 fighter and E-3/B fighter-bomber variants are equipped with two MG 17 machine guns and two 20mm MG 151 cannons. The F-4 has redesigned aerodynamics, and is equipped with two MG 17 machine guns and three 20mm MG 151 cannons. The F-4/B fighter-bomber has two MG 17 machine guns and one MG 151 cannon in addition to its fuselage mounted bomb. Finally, the G-6 is a fighter equipped with two 13mm MG 131 cannons and a powerful 30mm MK 108 cannon.
