The M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle is an American machine gun.

Commonly referred as the BAR, the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle was originally designed as a support weapon that is to be fired while advancing across the no man's land in World War I, but its debut in the later days of the war meant it saw limited action. It did however see extensive service in World War II and the Korean War as a light support weapon for the American forces.
In Battlegroup42, the BAR is the primary weapon for the American assault class for most of the maps the faction is played in, with the exception of a few maps where infantry plays little role or is replaced by the M1941 Johnson machine gun.
