Kawasaki Ki-3 is a Japanese biplane light bomber.

DescriptionEdit

Also known as the "Army Type 93 Single-engined Light Bomber", the Ki-3 was the last biplane bomber used in combat by the Imperial Japanese Army Airforce. It flew over Manchuria and China during the border conflicts with the Soviets and the 2nd. Sino-Japanese War, playing a major part in the early fighting in China. Like its Soviet counterpart, the Polikarpov R-Z, it was considered a rugged ground-attack aircraft with good maneuverability. With 500 kg of bombs the Ki-3 could deliver a greater payload than the R-Z, but was also slower in speed. Only 243 were build, and the survivors were subsequently replaced by the Mitsubishi Ki-30, which entered front-line service in 1938.

Together with Kawasaki Ki-10, the Ki-3 mostly appears in maps set before the emergence of World War II, such as 3712-Fall of Nanking, 3908-Khalkin Gol, and 3908-Zhukovs Strike.
