KV-85 is a Soviet heavy tank.
The KV-85 is a variant of the KV-1 (specifically the KV-1S) heavy tank to mount the 85mm D-5T gun to counter the latest German armour, as the previous 76.2mm ZiS-5 is becoming increasingly inadequate for a heavy tank's main armament. Production was short-lived, as the tank was soon replaced by the newer IS-2 starting in 1944.
The KV-85 is equipped with the 85mm D-5T gun and a DT machine gun at the front in the gun mantlet of the turret, with one more DT machine gun at the back of the turret. The machine gun originally mounted in the front of the hull is deleted due to the larger ammunition racks and the size of the gun breach taking up the space.
An example can be found in 4401-Battle for Korsun.
