Hummel (Sd.Kfz. 165) is a German self-propelled artillery.
Armed with a 15 cm sFH 18 L/30 artillery gun on a modified Panzer IV chassis, the powerful Hummel provides mobile heavy artillery support for the tank forces. There is also a MG 34 available for self-defense against enemy infantry. It has an open topped fighting compartment, which makes the crew vulnarable to small arms fire, hand grenades and splinters. To avoid this, the Hummel should not be used in the front line.
