The Volkswagen Schwimmwagen is a German amphibious military staff car. It was also used as command vehicle and for reconnissance.
Description[]
The Volkswagen Typ 166 Schwimmwagen has space for a driver and one passenger. It serves as a transport for troops, and while not as fast as the Kübelwagen or the Typ 87, it has the ability to drive on water. Like all military cars, it is unarmoured, therefore care must be taken not to engage directly with enemy forces when travelling in one.
Trivia[]
The first model used in Battlegroup42 was modified from the original Battlefield 1942's counterpart. In the final version, this is replaced with a new model of much better quality.
