For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Valentine tank.

Valentine is a British tank.

Description[]

The Valentine was the successor of Matilda II in the British infantry tank series. Although cramped inside and not as armoured as its predecessor, the Valentine was cheaper to build, reliable to drive, and was harder to hit thanks to its small silhouette. Production spanned over eleven marks, together with specialised variants such as Bishop self-propelled artillery. Although the tanks were eventually replaced by the Churchill in British service later in the war, the Soviets continued to use them under Lend-Lease until the end of the war.

There are two versions of the Valentine in BattleGroup42: the Mk III is armed with an Ordnance QF 2-pounder gun and a coaxial Besa machine gun in the turret, whereas the Mk IX is up-gunned to the more powerful Ordnance QF 6-pounder gun, with an M1919 Browning machine gun mounted on top of the turret to compensate the loss of coaxial machine gun mount.
