38M Toldi I is a Hungarian light tank.
Description[]
The Toldi I was a variant of the Swedish Landsverk L-60 light tank, build by MAVAG in Hungary. It first saw service with the Hungarian Army 1941 in Yugoslavia. The tank was armed with a 20mm Solothurn S-18/1000 anti-tank cannon in a closed turret and a 8mm machine gun in the coaxial mount to counter enemy infantry. Similar to the German Panzer II in performance, it proved to be much too thinly armored. So production shifted to the better protected Toldi II after 81 vehicles have been delivered.
In BattleGroup42, the Toldi I can fire up to four rounds in automatic mode before reloading. Its gun is adequate against soft-skinned vehicles, but not against tanks.
It can be found on maps such as 4108-Uman Pocket and 4301-Voronezh.
