Polikarpov R-Z is a Soviet biplane light bomber.
Description[]
The Polikarpov R-Z was the last version of the successful R-5 series and first saw action during the Spanish Civil War. Originally intended as a reconnaissance bomber, the rugged R-Z became also a ground attack aircraft in the Soviet airforce until being replaced by the Ilyushin Il-2. However, some R-Z were kept in service with light bomber units, for example the famous "Night Witches".
The Polikarpov R-Z has one forward firing 7.62mm PV-1 machine gun, and one 7.62mm ShKAS machine gun for the rear gunner. It delivers bombs that are lighter than those of Kawasaki Ki-3, but it can fly faster than its Japanese counterpart.
It can be found on 3908-Zhukovs Strike.
