For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Panzer I.

Panzer I is a German light tank.

Description[]

Originally envisioned to be a training tank both to train future tank crews and to prepare the German industry for mass tank production, the Panzer I was eventually pressed into combat service before more advanced designs became available in greater numbers. As a result it saw extensive combat in the early months of the war, albeit with high losses. As the war progressed, the Panzer I chassis was adopted in various support roles; including Flakpanzer I self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, the Panzerjäger I tank destroyer, and Sturmpanzer I self-propelled gun.

The Panzer I in BattleGroup42 is represented by the Ausf B. The two machine guns can fire independently from each other, and one of them is loaded with armour-piercing rounds that are capable of penetrating some thinly armoured vehicles. However, this light tank cannot withstand anything greater than small arms fire, and should only be used to suppress enemy infantry or other soft-skinned targets.

The vehicle can be found on a number of maps prior to the summer of 1941, such as 4006-Dunkirk Perimeter and 4106-Halfaya Pass. Although Ausf B is not a historically accurate production model in Chinese use, which should have been the Ausf A, the tank is also present in maps such as 3710-Shanghai Nights, 3712-Fall of Nanking, and 3912-Kunlun Pass.
