The Kettenkrad is a German light tractor.
Description[]
Originally designed for use by airborne troops, the Kettenrad first saw service with regular Army units on the Eastern Front, where it would prove useful as a light utility vehicle in rough terrain. It also saw use in Western Europe and North Africa, with roles ranging from light transport, cable layers, to aircraft tugs.
The Kettenrad in BattleGroup42 serves as a light transport for the German and Hungarian forces. Both the driver and the passenger positions are exposed, and the vehicle is unarmoured, therefore care must be taken not to engage directly with enemy forces when travelling in one.
It appears in various maps starting from 1941, such as 4105-Operation Mercury.
Trivia[]
- The model is modified from the original Battlefield 1942's counterpart.
