Nakajima B5N is a Japanese torpedo bomber.
Description[]
The Nakajima B5N "Kate" serves as the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service's torpedo bomber and horizontal bomber. Although it steadily became obsolete through the course of the war, there were not enough successor aircraft to fully replace it, hence the "Kate" continued to serve in battle until the very end.
There are two versions of the "Kate" in the mod: horizontal bomber with two 250 kg (550 lb) bomb beneath its wings, and torpedo bomber with Type 91 torpedo. Only the former has a pair of forward firing machine guns, but even so the bomber is unsuitable for dogfights. For self-defense the aircraft also has a rearward firing Type 92 machine gun for the second crewman to fire on pursuing enemy aircraft.
