KV-2 is a Soviet heavy tank.

Description[]

The KV-2 boasts a powerful 152mm M-10T howitzer in its enormous turret, which can be devastating to both enemy vehicles and infantry. It also has three 7.62mm DT machine guns: one in coaxial mount, one at the back of the turret, and one in the hull.

Despite its firepower and armour, the KV-2 can be unwieldy in armoured warfare due to its slow turret speed. It also has a high profile, making it an attractive target for enemy forces. However, it can be used to great effect as a self-propelled artillery.

The KV-2 can be found on maps set before mid-1942, such as 4106-Battle of Brody and 4107-Dnieper River; most of them are captured or destroyed by then.

Some captured vehicles have been evaluated, modified and used by the Germans afterwards as KV-II 754(r). Examples can be found on 4208-Operation Herkules and 4504-Mouse Roars.

Trivia[]

In reality, there is no historical records known that patriotic slogans were painted on KV-2's turret in Soviet service.
