For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on BT-7.

BT-7 is a Soviet light tank.

Description[]

The BT-7 was the last of the BT series of Soviet "fast tanks" that were analogous to the British cruiser tanks. This series of tanks had a distinctive capability of running on wheels by removing the tracks. Together with T-26, the BT-7 formed the backbone of the Red army in the 1930s and early 1940s, seeing action in multiple fronts, such as border conflicts against the Japanese, and the Winter War against the Finnish. The tanks were gradually replaced by T-34 medium tanks as the latter became more readily available. It underwent several improvements throughout production, and variants include self-propelled artillery in the form of BT-7A.

The BT-7 in BattleGroup42 represents the Model 1935 pattern, an early production model that shares the same turret as T-26 Model 1933. It boasts good speed, and the 45mm anti-tank gun M1932/38 (20-K) was potent against other tanks early in the conflicts, making it useful in hit-and-run tactics. However, its light armour means it cannot withstand anything greater than small arms fire, and should stay away from heated engagements.

It can be found in maps set between the late 1930s and the early 1940s, such as 3706-Kanchatzu Incident and 4106-Battle of Brody.
