Moonsund is a map set around the Moonsund archipelago in Estonia. It is fought between Soviet Union and Germany.
Description[]
There are three control points in this map. The Soviets start off with one uncapturable base, whereas the Germans start off with one uncapturable base and one control point. The remaining two control points are neutral.
Whichever side holds two or more control points will incur a ticket bleed to the other side.
Fighting is mainly carried out by tanks, with aircraft and naval elements in support. The Germans also have a Minensuchboot Typ 40 gunboat and a Blohm & Voss BV 138 seaplane as additional support from the sea, whereas the Soviets have two types of ships in the form of Bronekater Type 1125 and a MO-4. The Soviet side initially lack access to aircraft, and they must capture the airfield control point to the south.
Trivia[]
- The map is ported and modified from Peenemünde of Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII.
