For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Voronezh–Kastornoye offensive.

Voronezh is a map set around the city of Voronezh, Soviet Union. It is fought between the Soviet Union and Hungary.

Description[]

The Soviets start off with one uncapturable base in the south. The Hungarians has one uncapturable base to the north-west and two control points. There are also two neutral points in the middle.

The train yard control point, which is under Hungarian control initially, is very close to the Soviet start point, hence it is expected to fall easily in the beginning.

Either side can only incur a ticket bleed to their opponents by holding all four control points, making this map a battle of attrition.

There are no aircraft in this map; fighting is predominantly carried out by tanks, infantry, and self-propelled artillery.

Trivia[]

  • The map is ported and modified from a Battlefield 1942 map called Kelly's Heroes, which was originally made by Gamling.
