For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Battle of Stonne.

Stonne is a map set in and around the town of Stonne in France. It is fought between France and Germany.

Description[]

Each side starts off with one uncapturable base. There are four neutral control points to capture.

Whichever side has three or more control points will incur a ticket bleed to the other.

The open ground outside the village of Stonne sets the stage for armoured warfare, whereas the buildings among the control points provide space and cover for infantry to fight for control. Although fighting is predominantly done by tanks, there is also a fighter available for both sides to support the ground actions.

Trivia[]

  • The map is ported and modified from a Battlefield 1942 community map called Nuenen, which was originally made by Bleibringer. It was the winning entry for the Battlefield 1942 Map Making Contest in 2004.
