The Browning Auto-5 was the first semi-automatic shotgun to be produced in numbers. Designed by John Browning, the gun was continuously produced by several makers from 1900 to 1998, and as a result it saw action in several major wars.
The Browning Auto-5 is the primary weapon for the British and Canadian engineer class.
