The BT-7A is a modified BT-7 light tank fitted with a larger turret and a KT-28 howitzer, hence it can fulfill the self-propelled artillery role in the early phase of the war. It has one 7.62mm machine gun in coaxial mount, and another at the back of the turret.

It can be found on some maps set before 1942, such as 3908-Khalkin Gol, 4106-Battle of Brody, 4107-Dnieper River, 4108-Uman Pocket, and 4111-Rostov.
