76mm divisional gun M1942 (ZiS-3) is a German anti-tank gun.
Originally intended as a field artillery gun, the ZIS-3´s capability to fire armor piercing rounds in direct sight made it one of the most effective anti-tank guns of World War 2. It could penetrate the armor of any german tank except the frontal armor of the Tiger I and Panther. The gun was produced in large numbers from 1941 on, forming the backbone of the Soviet field artillery. The ZIS-3 was also much respected by the German army, which captured a lot of these guns in the early phase of the eastern campaign and put them into service under the designation 7,6-cm-Feldkanone 269(r).
In Battlegroup42, the ZIS-3 is usually available as a stationary weapon, but it can also be found towed by an ZIS-42 halftrack prime mover.
