Yontan Airfield is a map set around the eponymous airfield on Okinawa, Japan. It is fought between United States and Japan.

DescriptionEdit

Fighting is mainly carried out by infantry, with a number of light vehicles available for quick transport.

The scenario in Conquest and Co-op modes is played out differently to the one in Objective mode:

ConquestEdit

The Japanese start with one uncapturable base. The Americans have one uncapturable base and two control points. The control point closest to the Japanese is neutral.

Whichever side holds two or more control points will incur a ticket bleed to the other side.

Co-opEdit

The Japanese start with one uncapturable base. The Americans have one uncapturable base and three control points.

Whichever side holds two or more control points will incur a ticket bleed to the other side.

ObjectiveEdit

The Japanese must destroy the ten stationary Vought F4U Corsair fighter-bombers parked on the airfield and in the hangars before their tickets deplete. The stationary Corsairs are distinguishable from the controllable ones as they are armed with rockets instead of bombs.

TriviaEdit

The map is ported and modified from Kbely Airfield from Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII expansion.
