For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Battle of Hürtgen Forest.

Hürtgen Forest is a map set around the eponymous forest in Germany. It is fought between United States and Germany.

Description[]

The Americans start off with one uncapturable base. The Germans have five control points to defend.

The Germans can inflict a ticket bleed on the Americans if they hold at least four control points, but the Americans need only three or more control points to do the same to their opponents.

There are no aircraft available in this map. Both sides have a sizable number of tanks available for the battle, but due to the rugged terrain and high tree density, infantry is also an important element to seize or defend control points.

Trivia[]

  • The map was was ported and modified from a community map of the same name, which was originally made by Rex McLachlin aka BobChinook.
