For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Second Jassy–Kishinev offensive.

Kishinev Pocket is a map set around Moldavia. It is fought between Soviet Union and Germany.

Description[]

There are six control points in this map. Both sides have one uncapturable base, but the Germans also start off with two control points, and the rest of the control points are neutral.

The Germans can inflict a ticket bleed on the Soviets by holding four or more control points, whereas the Soviets need only three to do against their opponents.

There are no aircraft on this map. Fighting is mainly carried out by tanks and self-propelled artillery, but the hilly and forested terrain around initial German positions may hinder movement and sight in battle.

Trivia[]

  • The map is ported and modified from a Battlefield 1942 community map called Operation Last Hope, which was originally made by Gladiator.
