Narva Bridgehead is a map set around the town of Narva in Estonia. It is fought between Soviet Union and Germany.
Description[]
The Soviets have one uncapturable base in the east. The German force has four control points to defend.
The German side can inflict a ticket bleed on the Soviets as long as they hold all four control points. The Soviets can inflict a ticket bleed against their opponents when they hold at least three control points.
Fighting is mainly carried out by tanks, with support from infantry, artillery, and aircraft. The Soviets have a long distance to cover between their base and the closest control point, therefore securing the first control point is crucial, as this would allow the Soviets to launch attacks on other control points in relatively shorter distances, as well as stopping the initial ticket bleed.
Trivia[]
- The soldiers on the German side speak Dutch. Furthermore, the bots on the German side have Dutch names in Singleplayer and Co-op mode. This is intended, as a number of volunteer Waffen SS units from foreign countries fought on the German side in this battle, including those from the Netherlands.
- The map is ported and modified from Essen of Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII
